Media Internship | Santa Fe Workshops



The Media Intern at Santa Fe Workshops will receive a stipend of $3000 for the Summer 2022 season, which runs from June 27th – August 19, 2022.

Below are the specific responsibilities of the position of Media Intern.

A/V Responsibilities:

-Obtaining weekly photographic and video content that captures the educational experience of the Santa Fe Workshops
-Supporting course assistants on a weekly basis to create slideshows in Premiere Pro that showcase student work
-Setting up and producing multimedia presentations. This includes, but is not limited to: assembling and troubleshooting projectors, projector screens, audio equipment, as well as selecting playlists for intermission, cleaning the presentation hall, etc.
Uploading final shows to YouTube at the end of each week.
-Contacting instructors to send in lecture materials for instructor presentations, coordinating practice runs with instructors beforehand
-Maintaining, repairing and upgrading workshops equipment, including laptops, projectors and external hard drives as necessary.
-Performing regular software updates on SFW laptops and computers used by teaching assistants.
-Providing technical support for workshop staff, instructors and participants during the season, troubleshooting technical issues that arise.


Marketing Responsibilities:

-Assisting the Marketing Department with the creation of social media content, including but not limited to Instagram stories, tagging instructors, etc.
-Organizing and delivering promotional images to Marketing Department on a weekly basis


Requirements/Qualifications:

-Recent completion or current enrollment in a media, film, etc. based Bachelor’s program
-Working knowledge of computer operating systems and software, including Mac OS, Windows 10, Adobe
Creative Suite, with a focus on Adobe Photoshop, Lightroom, and Premiere Pro.
-Working knowledge of Digital SLR cameras. Experience with Nikon cameras and mirrorless cameras a plus.
-Knowledge of wired and wireless internet networks.
-Willingness and ability to learn about new technology.
-Strong troubleshooting skills.
-Ability to work independently, with minimal supervision.
-Detail-oriented and organized with ability to manage multiple projects.
-Strong communication skills.
