Mexican Summer is seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Digital Marketing Manager to join their team. As the Digital Marketing Manager, you will play a critical role in developing and executing innovative digital marketing and advertising strategies for their artists’ music releases. Working closely with the Commercial Team, Project Managers, and other cross-functional teams, you will be instrumental in promoting their artists across various digital platforms, increasing fan engagement, and maximizing overall brand exposure. Your responsibilities will include leading online creative marketing initiatives from concept ideation to execution and reporting, ensuring that each campaign resonates with their target audience and achieves its intended impact.
– Develop content strategy as an integral part of campaigns. Collaborate closely with the Creative team to ensure alignment on content requirements, strategy, and implementation across all digital platforms, including social media, artist communities (such as Discord) DSPs, and YouTube.
– Attend local shows and label events to inform content strategy and marketing approaches.
– Supervise the social media coordinator, offering high-level strategy guidance for content rollout and providing tactical support for day-to-day posting and social activities.
– Secure strategic partnerships with DSPs and brands to enhance exposure and promotional opportunities for their artists, leveraging collaborative efforts to amplify artist visibility and engagement.
– Develop and implement strategies to grow and engage each artist’s audience across DSPs, social media platforms, and emerging platforms like TikTok.
– Lead and meticulously oversee the end-to-end execution of influencer marketing campaigns, encompassing both direct collaboration with influencers and strategic partnerships with agencies.
– Manage and execute ancillary online marketing campaigns, encompassing live streams, premieres and listening parties on platforms such as YouTube and Bandcamp, as well as engaging lyric activations that contribute to enhanced audience engagement and brand visibility.
– Serve as the primary point of contact for digital agencies, ensuring seamless collaboration through timely provision of campaign timelines, budgets, creative assets, and transparent communication of priorities and objectives.
– Supervise the commissioning and management of ad assets, encompassing fundamental edits, to guarantee the production of high-quality and impactful creative materials that effectively resonate with target audiences.
– Coordinate advertising access for all artists and partners, seamlessly integrating their campaigns into their comprehensive digital marketing endeavors for a cohesive and synchronized promotional approach.
– Monitor ad campaign performance, analyze ad reports, and track streaming analytics. Provide data-driven insights to internal and external team members, continuously refining marketing strategies to optimize audience engagement.
– Provide consultation to artists and artist management on content creation, advertising, and marketing strategies and best practices.
Qualifications and Skills:
– Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Digital Media, Music Business, or a related field is preferred.
– Minimum of 3 years of experience in digital marketing and advertising within the music industry, with a proven track record of successful campaigns.
– Comprehensive knowledge of digital advertising platforms such as Meta, Google, TikTok, Snapchat, and Reddit, with proficiency in booking ad campaigns and measuring campaign performance.
– Familiarity with website build processes, hosting platforms, SEO, and retargeting pixels.
– Proficiency in CRM platforms, including Active Campaign, Mailchimp, MailerLite, etc., for effective audience segmentation and messaging.
– Strong data analysis skills, utilizing social, ad, and streaming analytics backends, and third-party resources (e.g., Chartmetric, Trendpop) to inform strategic decisions.
– Experience in commissioning content and ad creative, with a keen design eye to ensure high-quality visual assets.
– Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
– Proactive, business-friendly communication style in both written and verbal interactions.
– Strong time management abilities, setting priorities, multitasking, and meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
– Internal drive to complete assignments and go the extra mile to achieve results for their artists and label.
– Genuine passion for music and a deep familiarity with their label’s catalog and current artist roster.
