We’re very excited to announce a very special edition of 3to1Films taking place in New York City 🍎
3 to 1 Films invites you to submit short films for our upcoming screening event. We are on the lookout for unique, innovative and thought-provoking films from emerging talents. Whether you’re an independent or unsigned filmmaker, we want to see your work!
Submission Guidelines:
Film Length: We are accepting short films of up to 15 minutes in length.
Theme: Black & Afro Diasporic Stories – Films that centre on blackness and/or the black experience, no story is too small or too broad in scale.
This can be in the form of any genre, we want to see your range.
Eligibility: This call is open to independent and unsigned filmmakers worldwide. Whether you’re a seasoned pro or a budding talent, we want to see your work.

Your film will be among those selected for screening at our highly-anticipated 3 to 1 Films event. Share your talent with a passionate audience, including fellow filmmakers and industry professionals. We believe in the power of collaboration. Our event is designed to connect filmmakers, providing a platform for future creative ventures.

Submission Deadline:
Please submit your films by January 31st via one of the two links below. If selected you will be notified up to 10 days after submission closes. The screening will take place 19th February, at Seventh Heaven, New York.

Film Screening: The selected films will be showcased at a 3 to 1 Films event, captivating the audience and giving you a chance to shine on the big screen.
Panel Discussion: Following the screenings, our panel discussion will feature the filmmakers and an industry expert. Share your experiences, gain wisdom, and inspire the next generation of talent.
Live DJs and Drinks: The night isn’t just about films; it’s a celebration of art and creativity.
Ticket Information:
Tickets for the event will be priced at $5. Free for those who are participating.
