Responsibilities include:
– ensure functionality of all aspects of website and digital platforms
– work closely with webmaster to respond to and troubleshoot website issues
– use tracking systems to ensure all IT issues get resolved
– research user experience and QA all digital products
– manage and oversee design and development budgets for future projects
– plan digital strategy with director
– work with webmaster to build out future content additions to website
Experience:
– experience in professional web development and design, preferably within the arts
– knowledge of graphic design best practices for web projects
– strong technical background with advanced computer skills and understanding of HTML and CSS. Experience with Javascript and PHP would be beneficial, but is not required
– ability to work independently and as a member of a team
– knowledge of web usability best practices, website navigation design and flow, content classification, and content management methods and systems
– knowledge of basic design program (Photoshop/InDesign/
– some video editing skills in Premiere or Final Cut 10 to make clips and trailers for e-flux Video & Film
– excellent communication skills, specifically with the ability to understand and explain complex technical concepts
– detail-oriented and extremely organized, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
– knowledge of contemporary art and familiarity with key topics, artists, and institutions is a plus
30 hours a week. Salary commensurate with experience.
